- No. We designed Parentalist specifically to be lightweight. There is no app store download required, and no new password to remember. You log in securely using your existing Google account, and it's a simple single web page you can bookmark. That's it.

- Yes. Parentalist creates a shared parenting task list so you and your parenting partner can stay aligned on school deadlines, activities, reminders, and child-specific responsibilities and help share the load. If either of you gets a relevant todo, the other can see it too. If anyone marks it done or deletes it, great job - one less thing to worry about!
- Can my partner see my inbox?
- No. Your parenting partner can see shared tasks, due dates, and completion status. They cannot browse your inbox nor view your emails.
- Does Parentalist store my email content?
- No. Email content is not stored. It is processed temporarily when you request task analysis, then discarded. Parentalist stores only the minimal, privacy-safe email identifiers needed to prevent duplicate tasks and provide a link back to the original message for the parent who connected that inbox.
- Is my child's information used to train AI models?
- No. Parentalist uses Google's Gemini API to analyze emails for parenting tasks. Child details are only used to match tasks to the right kid, and data sent to Gemini is not used to train or improve Google's models or products. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- How does Parentalist protect sensitive information?
- Parentalist uses read-only Gmail access, does not store email content, does not use child information for AI training, and has completed CASA Tier 2 assessment for Google data access. Read more in our Privacy Policy.
- Is Parentalist free?
- Yep. Parentalist is free for families because we (part-time developers and full time parents) just want to stop drowning in school and activity email overload. Admittedly there are a few apps and sites out there trying to do the same thing, but we don't think they're doing a good job. We're continually improving this product and want to get it right.
